A new, simpler YF website is here!  A few reasons why:

1) The world of communication has changed a bit since the last site was launched.  That site was launched with the purpose of both communicating info but also to share pictures, have fun, etc.  Most of that kind of fun activity now happens in other places — Facebook in particular.  As such, that content was never really used and got stale.

2) Technical glitches seemed to prevent me from having a consistent parent and youth email list when I was not at home — which is a problem when you’re not home pretty often.

3) I change everything every two years.  So it was just time.

For these reasons, a new site is launched.  The new site is focused on information management and communication.  Pretty straight forward.  The email list will be managed in “the cloud” so I can have a consistent list everywhere in the world (literally).  Youth and parents will subscribe or unsubscribe to these posts and receive them via email as they are added.  Each youth will also need to register with updated contact info on this site each year.

This should help us all stay coordinated in a better way!
